O objetivo deste estudo é identificar e compreender as experiências formativas e pedagógicas de um educador social a partir de sua atuação no Projeto Dentro da Cena, uma proposta de educação profissional juvenil no campo da educação não formal, que busca desenvolver valores humanos, consciência crítica e habilidades socioemocionais de jovens para não somente contribuir na inserção digna no mundo do trabalho, mas também para a sua formação integral como ser humano. O período analisado abarca os anos de 2013 a 2020, nos primeiros meses da pandemia do covid-19. Para alcançar tal objetivo, utilizou-se o método autobiográfico mediante a produção e a análise de narrativas pessoais do educador. A investigação fundamentou-se em revisão bibliográfica sobre juventude, concepções de trabalho, políticas públicas e estudos sobre os aspectos da travessia para a vida adulta, sobre a transição escola-trabalho e a inserção do jovem no mundo do trabalho e, por fim, a educação profissional de jovens. Apresentam-se dados do Projeto Dentro da Cena considerando seus objetivos, princípios, perfil dos educandos, espaços institucionais, modelos de financiamento e aspectos metodológicos de ensino/aprendizagem. Os principais resultados identificaram necessidades e saberes formativos e pedagógicos que, de alguma forma, possam contribuir para a formação continuada de educadores sociais, entre eles a importância de se problematizar as noções e os significados hegemônicos que envolvem a juventude, o trabalho e a educação laboral juvenil considerando os valores e as práticas dominantes da sociedade capitalista e neoliberal

The aim of this study is to identify and understand the formative and pedagogical experiences of a social educator from his role in the Inside the Scene Project, a proposal for youth professional education in the field of non-formal education, which seeks to develop human values, critical thinking and social-emotional skills in young people to not only contribute to a dignified insertion in the world of work, but also to their integral development as a human being. The analyzed period covers the years from 2013 to 2020, in the first months of the covid-19 pandemic. To achieve this goal, the autobiographical method was used through the production and analysis of the educator's personal narratives. The study was based on a bibliographical review on youth, concept of work, public policies and studies on the transition from adolescence to adulthood, on the school-work transition and the youth integration into the world of work and, finally, on professional education of young people. Data from the Inside the Scene Project is presented considering its objectives, principles, students' profile, institutional spaces, financing model and methodological aspects of teaching/learning. The main results identified formative and pedagogical needs and knowledge that somehow may contribute to the continued formation of social educators, including the importance of questioning the hegemonic notions and meanings that refer to the youth, the work and the labor education of young people considering the dominant values and practices of the capitalist and neoliberal society
