A partir do Slam da Guilhermina, este trabalho busca compreender a formação da cena das batalhas de poesia no Brasil, suas sujeitas e seus sujeitos protagonistas e os efeitos dessa ação cultura. Compreendemos que esses espaços protagonizados por jovens, negras e negros e moradores das periferias, conformam debates sociais públicos que chamamos de Fóruns Poéticos Periféricos. Entendemos que a prática do Poetry Slam no Brasil se conecta com uma cena mais ampla de culturas urbanas e periféricas, como o hip hop, os saraus, a literatura periférica e as batalhas de mcs, mas possuiu as suas singularidades e especificidades, objetos deste estudo. Ao longo da pesquisa notamos que o crescimento do slam no país coincide com um contexto de profunda crise econômica, um avanço de uma política de austeridade com corte nos investimentos públicos nas áreas socias, ascensão da extrema direita e de profundas mudanças na divisão internacional do trabalho. Isso torna os slams espaços de sociabilidade, reflexão e debate público contestatório e de contraponto ao avanço conservador, protagonizado por jovens negras e negros e periféricos

Taking Guilhermina's Slam as a starting point, this paper seeks to understand the formation of the poetry slam scene in Brazil, its subjects and protagonists, and the effects of this cultural action. We have understood that these spaces, led by young people, black women and men, and residents of the peripheries, form public social debates that we call the Peripheral Poetic Forum. We believe that the practice of Poetry Slam in Brazil connects itself to a scene of urban and peripheral cultures, such as hip hop, soirees, peripheral literature, and MC battles. It has its own singularities and specificities, which are the subject of this study. Throughout the research, we noticed that the growth of slam in the country coincides with a context of deep economic crisis, the advance of austerity policies with cuts in public investment in social areas, the rise of the extreme right, and profound changes in the international division of labor. All this makes the slam a space o of sociability, reflection, and public debate that challenge and counter the conservative advance
