Abstract in English
This thesis studies the escalation of political antagonisms in municipal public schools in São Paulo in the context of the emergence of new rights, between the years 2018 and 2022. The ultraliberal-conservative discursive formation has claimed the institutionalist grammar of the school (from citizenship to human rights ) and, at the same time, displaced the consensus that supported its meaning in civil society since redemocratization. This thesis investigates the effects of the dissemination of the anti-leftist repertoire on the educational pact. With this objective, I analyze the impact caused on school life by the engagement of subjects who see the progressive profile of teachers as an obstacle to their families' educational projects. The focus is on the interaction between these families and educators, particularly the Freireans, whose school project, arising from popular education, is contested by a conservative representation of the Brazilian people. The work is a reflection on the promises and dilemmas of the democratization of school in a time of uncertainty that makes it fertile ground for conservative radicalization, educational disengagement and the resignification of pedagogical utopias
