Abstract in English
This research surveys the work of Larmod, a company of decorative textiles in São Paulo owned by designers Attilio Baschera and Gregório Kramer; it aims at assessing whether Larmods trajectory is representative of the field of decorative textiles in Brazil from the 1970s onwards. Working on the assumption of an affirmative conclusion to the assessment, this research interprets Larmod according to the aspects of production, mediation and consumption of its work. The theoretical and methodological grounds of the research are situated in the multidisciplinary field of Design History, from where it sets forth the analysis of primary data from specialized magazines of the period in study as its method, alongside the testimonials of the designers themselves. Its main goals are to trace an historical account of the celebrated decorative textiles company Larmod in order to amplify the debate on Brazilian design, especially decorative textiles, without meaning to exhaust such a vast theme
