Esta pesquisa busca investigar os aspectos que emergem de um estudo histórico descritivo acerca das estampas desenhadas por Liubov Popova (1889 - 1924) e Varvara Stepanova (1894 - 1958) para a Primeira Estamparia estatal (também conhecida como Fábrica Tsindel), entre 1923 e 1924, sobretudo quanto a suas contribuições para a construção da visualidade do chamado "novo estilo de vida soviético" (novy byt), no período pós-revolucionário, do ponto de vista cultural, político e estético. Para isso foi realizado levantamento bibliográfico do contexto histórico pós-revolucionário, com especial atenção à construção do chamado novy byt, além de investigação sobre a participação feminina no contexto artístico russo, e como essa participação contribuiu para a produção de estampas de Popova e Stepanova no período supracitado. Além disso foi realizada análise iconográfica das estampas produzidas pelas artistas, procurando apontar, assim, os elementos utilizados pelas artistas para discutir o novo modo de vida soviético. A pesquisa revela como as estampas foram criadas para suprir uma necessidade especificamente feminina, partindo do ponto de partida deixado por artistas russas que vieram antes de Liubov Popova e Varvara Stepanova

This research aims to investigate the aspects that emerge from a descriptive historical study about the designs designed by Liubov Popova (1889 - 1924) and Varvara Stepanova (1894 - 1958) for the First State Stamp (also known as Tsindel Factory), between 1923 and 1924. especially as regards its contributions to the construction of the visuality of the so-called new Soviet lifestyle (novy byt) in the post-revolutionary period, from the cultural, political and aesthetic point of view. For this purpose, a bibliographic survey of the post-revolutionary historical context was carried out, with special attention to the construction of the so-called novy byt, as well as research on female participation in the Russian artistic context, and how this participation contributed to the production of prints by Popova and Stepanova in above period. In addition, an iconographic analysis of the prints produced by the artists was performed, trying to point out, thus, the elements used by the artists to discuss the new Soviet way of life. The research reveals how the prints were created to meet a specifically feminine need, starting from the starting point left by Russian artists who came before Liubov Popova and Varvara Stepanova
