Abstract in English
The improvement of digital inkjet textile printing has enabled new applications for the textile and sign industry. It has also influenced and modified the structure of the business model and workflow of the professionals involved. In this context, this thesis investigates how digital textile printing evolved and how the elements of drawing were influenced by this technology. This is a mixed method research based on bibliography review, practical and laboratory experiments. The purpose of this thesis is identified and classify aspects related to the necessary contents for the elaboration, creation and organization of visual elements for the drawing of textile print design for digital printing. The first part based on the review and practical experiments guided the second part, which consist of some practical and laboratory experiments. The latter were focused on the relation between basic elements of drawing such as dot, line, shape, texture and other, textile characteristics as composition, structure and texture to the digital printing process. A variety of textiles with woven and jersey textiles in cotton, polyester, polyamide and rayon were printed by direct digital pigment printing and sublimation transfer method to evaluate how these agents influence the textile print design. The laboratory experiments were based on the spectrophotometer reading of the printed colors and analyzed the relevant agents in the different stages of production. The study produced results which corroborate with basics textile printing design knowledge and shows how basic textile printing design knowledge has changed. It also gathers relevant contents to improve conceptual, specific, creative a technological-productive knowledge for designer practice in the current market of digital textile printing
