Abstract in English
Brucellosis and tuberculosis are zoonoses of great importance to the agribusiness market. Several studies have already been carried out in other federative units to elucidate the health status of herds in the face of these diseases and to understand their risk factors. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of simultaneous outbreaks for brucellosis and tuberculosis in cattle in the State of Pará - Brazil, identifying their risk factors and the presence of spatial clusters of simultaneous outbreaks in the territory. The prevalence in the State for simultaneous outbreak was 4.37% (95% CI 3.3-6.0), with no significant difference between the types of production and by species produced on the property. The risk factors found were the acquisition of breeding stock and landing area for cattle in transit. The State has several peculiarities regarding the handling of animals, given climatic conditions, associated with social and economic factors that may justify the results found.
