Abstract in English
In this work, some contributions in the field of microprocessor based systems reliability are presented. Two major aspects are covered, the effect of external interference, particularly electrical disturbances, on microcomputer behavior and the use ofredundancy to increase the reliability of microcomputer systems. A dedicated test set-up has been developed to analyze the effects of electrical disturbances on microcomputers. The effects of such disturbances have been observed by applying controlled electrical pulses on the power rails of a microcomputer and comparing its outputs with an identical "gold" microcomputer. By using the test set-up, interesting results were obtained which are related. Some contributions have been done for the development of reliable microprocessor based systems using redundancy techniques. These are: memory systems using Hamming detecting/correcting codes, a ring type fault tolerant microcomputer based on N modular redundancy and a DUPLEXlHYBRID architecture using a "rollback" technique for transient faults recovery
