O método de análise da velocidade de convergência de filtros adaptativos IIR apresentado se mostrou bastante poderoso para interpretar resultados práticos cuja explicação era, anteriormente, algo obscura. Uma das implicações práticas desta análise é que sob certas condições, ainda que restritivas, estes filtros podem ser usados com considerável segurança quanto à sua velocidade de convergência. Outra conseqüência desta análise, possivelmente de aplicação prática mais ampla, é o algoritmo de adaptação inspirado nas propriedades de convergência deduzidas. A análise do seu comportamento é um trabalho em andamento, mas, como pode ser visto pelos resultados apresentados aqui, as perspectivas são promissoras.
