Abstract in English
This thesis discusses the relationships between art and nature, based on the artistic work developed by the author in the last 10 years. The contemporary paradigm changes in man's relationship with nature in the techno-scientific and media-based society give rise to new poetic forms of art related to the natural world. The artworks presented here move between different media, including installation art, photography, video and performance. First we focused on works related to landscape and the relationships between man and space in a geographical, historical, socio-political and ecological context. Later we discuss the relationships between men and animals, observing them as companion species, provided with subjectivity. Finally, we present works discussing the relation between man and the Other, human or non-human, and its effect on the natural world. Art is treated here as a poetic overflight, able to critically comment and to reflect on the impact of man on the environment, increasing his awareness and respect for nature.
