Com a sua política comercial, o Japão tem buscado firmar e expandir as suas relações econômicas na região do Pacífico Asiático e impulsionar o crescimento da sua economia doméstica. Como a integração econômica regional é parte da política comercial de um país, este estudo analisa a evolução dessa arquitetura do Pacífico Asiático, região na qual o Japão tem desempenhado um papel importante para a construção de fóruns e de propostas de integração e para o estabelecimento de acordos preferenciais de comércio. As negociações do Tratado de Parceria do Pacífico (TPP) têm se destacado dentro da política comercial japonesa e, de modo mais abrangente, na política econômica desse país. Assim sendo, analisa-se o desenvolvimento desse acordo para o qual o Japão liderou as iniciativas para prosseguir, mesmo após a saída dos Estados Unidos. Tendo em vista estes fatores, o objeto do estudo do trabalho é a política comercial do Japão. Precisamente, o principal objetivo deste trabalho é compreender a política comercial japonesa dentro do contexto da região do Pacífico Asiático, particularmente quanto ao Tratado de Parceria do Pacífico.

Abstract in English
Japan has consolidated and has enlarged its economic relations with the Asia Pacific region and has tried to increase the economic growth through trade policy. Regional economic integration is part of a country's trade policy, this dissertation analyzes the evolution of that architecture in the Asia Pacific, region where Japan has played an important role by establishing integration fora and frameworks, and trade preferential agreements. Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations has highlighted inside the Japan's trade policy and, more comprehensively, in its economic policy. Therefore, this dissertation analyzes the development of this agreement that Japan led the negotiations to continue, even after the United States withdraw. In view of these factors, the subject of this dissertation is the Japan's trade policy. Precisely, the aim is to understand the Japanese trade policy in the Asia Pacific context, particularly regarding the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
