Este trabalho realiza uma análise do capital intelectual e social em arranjos produtivos locais. O estudo foi desenvolvido no Estado de São Paulo por meio de um estudo de caso em cluster de alta tecnologia localizado na cidade em São Carlos. A metodologia do estudo fundamenta-se em duas etapas que se complementam. A primeira etapa refere-se à pesquisa bibliográfica cujo objetivo foi ampliar o conhecimento teórico sobre os temas envolvidos no presente estudo e desenvolver a proposta de um modelo conceitual de análise do capital intelectual e social em arranjos produtivos locais. Em um segundo momento, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza exploratória junto às empresas que compõem o arranjo para analise do modelo proposto e descrição dos resultados obtidos. Os resultados obtidos podem contribuir para uma melhor compreensão dos arranjos produtivos locais. Pôde-se concluir que para ser bem-sucedido o arranjo, há necessidade de maior compartilhamento dos capitais existentes entre as empresas para obterem vantagens competitivas e unir as vertentes do econômico, social e cultural. São apresentadas no final do estudo recomendações futuras que podem propiciar melhorias ao modelo proposto.

This study realizes an analysis of the intellectual and social capital in local productive arrangements. This study was developed in São Paulo State by using the method of a case study in a cluster of high technology in São Carlos city. The methodology of this study is based in two stages. The first one refers to a bibliographical research, which objective was to extend the theoretical knowledge on the involved subjects in the present study and to develop the proposal of a conceptual model to analyses the intellectual and social capital in local productive arrangements. In the second stage, a qualitative research was conducted with companies involved in the arrangement. The objective of this stage was analyze the model proposed and describes the results obtained. The results of the study contribute for a better understanding of the local productive arrangements. The study concludes that it is necessary to share the intellectual and social capital between the companies involved and to join economic, social and cultural sources to the arrangement succeed. Future recommendations are presented toward the study that can improve the proposal model.
