A presente pesquisa relata a introdução e o desenvolvimento da Arte Telemática no circuito artístico-cultural brasileiro. Dos trabalhos inaugurais realizados na década de 1980 até os desdobramentos ocorridos na virada para o século XXI, essa retrospectiva relaciona os principais eventos de Telearte e aborda conceitos que passaram a ser discutidos a partir da introdução das teletecnologias em práticas artísticas, culminando em um movimento de grande potencial dialógico.

The present study reports the introduction and development of Telematic Art in the Brazilian art-culture circuit. From inaugural works occuring in the 80 to developments promoted by the turn of the XXI century, this review shows the principal Teleart events and concepts that came to be discussed from the introduction of teletecnologies in artistic practices, culminating in a movement of great potential dialogic.
