No amplo universo dos museus, há uma tipologia que documenta a história do habitar, articulada na relação entre edificação, morador e acervo, elementos que também dialogam com o território circundante e a sociedade. Denominados museus-casas, esses espaços preservam a ambientação residencial, total ou parcialmente, e evocam a passagem de grupos humanos que ali viveram. No Brasil, as moradias de imigrantes italianos abertas à visitação contribuem com o conhecimento da história do fenômeno migratório e das tradições relacionadas ao cotidiano. São locais icônicos que expõem camadas de tempo da sociedade, articuladas nas memórias das edificações, dos acervos e dos antigos moradores, do usufruto residencial e social dos espaços. Sob o título Da casa ao museu-casa: heranças do imigrante italiano no Brasil, este estudo visa esclarecer se as residências abertas à visitação no Brasil externam heranças culturais do país de origem de seus antigos moradores a Itália , considerando o potencial de extroversão de acervos de natureza doméstica, que expõem a produção material e imaterial da sociedade.

In the wide universe of museums, there is a typology that documents the history of inhabiting, articulated in the relationship between building, resident and collection, elements that also dialogue with the surrounding territory and society. Called house museums, these spaces preserve the residential environment, totally or partially, and evoke the passage of human groups that lived there. In Brazil, the houses of Italian immigrants open to visitation contribute to the knowledge of the history of the migratory phenomenon and the traditions related to the daily life. They are iconic places that expose layers of society, articulated in the memories of the buildings, the collections and the people that lived there, the residential and social enjoyment of spaces. Under the title "From house to house-museum: heritage of the Italian immigrant in Brazil", this study aims to clarify if the residences open to visitation in Brazil expose cultural heritages of the country of origin of its former inhabitants Italy considering the potential of extroversion of collections of a domestic nature, which expose the material and imaterial production of society.
