Abstract in English
This research refers to an educational process focused on the formation of professionals able to work with Environmental Education. It aims to analyze and contextualize the epistemological and methodological conceptions that guide the politic-pedagogic propose of the Specialization Course of Environmental Education for Sustainability offered by Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana UEFS. Furthermore, we tried to evaluate the possibilities of the educational process to the contribution of a new pedagogic practice that favors the rise of non-hegemonic processes coupled with the new paradigm. It is a qualitative research based on study cases; we used documents from the course (project and students manual) and carried out interviews with eleven professors as a data source. The analyzed results allowed us identifying how the politic-pedagogic propose was created upon the teaching and research axis, relying on educational practice and intervention and on the space of common living and in the formation of a learning community. The research shows that the main challenge to the consolidation of such propose refers to the lack an institutional environmental policy.
