Universidade Sustentável

Abstract in English
The generation of electronic waste in the world is presenting a problem for Sustainability, as it brings environmental, social and economic impacts. This residue, sometimes not even identified in the statistics clearly provides a significant impact because it is based products in heavy chemical elements and contaminants such as mercury. Universities, as well as residences and organizations also generate electronic waste, and can serve as an example in good management. Thus, this work aimed to study the case of CEDIR / USP (Centre for Waste Disposal and Reuse of Informatics, University of São Paulo), reporting the work done since the start of work, the difficulties encountered and the benefits achieved to time.
