Abstract in English
The purpose of this study is to investigate the teaching and learning of concepts of nanoscience and nanotechnology in high school, involving the study of nanomaterials and its impact on society. Many times the perception of nanoscience and nanotechnology is associated with scientific activities developed in sophisticated and expensive laboratories; this idea establishes a barrier to teaching and learning. Since carbon is a very common element in nature, the study of carbon nanoparticles allows us to introduce concepts of nanoscience and nanotechnology in the classroom, using low cost materials and, thus, making possible the approach of the students to one of the central branches of modern science.
