Esse trabalho tem como propósito central compreender e analisar a relação entre o perfil epistemológico do conceito de tempo e o perfil cultural de diferentes grupos de alunos. Para isso, lança-se um breve olhar sobre o conceito de tempo ao longo da história segundo duas perspectivas: a da mensuração e a do caráter filosófico e científico. Essa reconstrução conceitual permite estabelecer uma relação entre o conceito de tempo e a cultura ao longo da história. Além disso, busca-se nas noções de perfil e obstáculo epistemológico de Gaston Bachelard e na gnosiologia de Paulo Freire, um diálogo que forneça os principais pilares de sustentação da relação entre o perfil epistemológico e a cultura. Por outro lado, investiga-se o perfil epistemológico do conceito de tempo dos estudantes do ensino fundamental, médio e superior de uma instituição de ensino da grande São Paulo e a relação com os próprios perfis culturais desses alunos, utilizando como ferramenta metodológica de levantamento de dados o questionário. Por fim, faz-se uma interpretação desses dados á luz das teorias de Paulo Freire e Gaston Bachelard, buscando entrelaçar a cultura e o perfil epistemológico, definindo parâmetros que permitem esboçar perfis culturais e epistemológicos, coletivos e individuais, nos moldes Bachelardianos.

This work is to understand and analyze the central relationship between the epistemological profile of the concept of time and cultural profile of different groups of students. For this reason, launches, a brief look at the concept of time throughout history according to two perspectives: that of the measurement and the scientific and philosophical character. This reconstruction allows us to establish a conceptual link between the concept of time and culture through history. Also, search on the terms of profile and epistemological obstacle of Gaston Bachelard and gnosiologia of Paulo Freire, a dialogue that provides the main pillars to sustain the relationship between the epistemological profile and culture. Moreover, research is the epistemological profile of the concept of time for students of primary, middle and top of an educational institution of Sao Paulo and great relationship with their own cultural profiles of these students, using as a methodological tool of survey data the questionnaire. Finally, it is an interpretation of these data the light of the theories of Paulo Freire and Gaston Bachelard, seeking intertwine culture and epistemological profile, defining parameters that allow profiles outlining cultural and epistemological, collective and individual, in line Bachelardianos.
