Esta tese apresenta um estudo comparado de poetas brasileiros de vanguarda que trabalharam, em algum momento, com a visualidade na segunda metade do século XX. São enfocados poetas do Intensivismo, realizado em Mato Grosso; Concretismo, a partir de obras fulcrais de Wlademir Dias-Pino, Augusto de Campos, Décio Pignatari, Silva Freire e Haroldo de Campos; Poema-Processo até chegar aos poemas visuais. Considera-se, neste estudo, que a historiografia literária e a crítica literária não deram o enfoque devido a todos esses autores, em face disso questiona-se o cânone centralizado. O estudo dessas vanguardas poéticas costuma ser apresentado de forma fragmentada dentro da Academia. Por isso, conjugando a poética diacrônica com a sincrônica, procurou-se discutir o posicionamento crítico a partir de suas obras e fazer uma abordagem analítica de períodos expressivos desses autores. Os diálogos poéticos se intercalam com os críticos, estes últimos, muitas vezes originam-se dos próprios poetas que realizam o exercício da metacrítica. Trata-se de um estudo, que compara, pela primeira vez, o núcleo do grupo concretista Noigandres com poetas que produziram em Mato Grosso. No bojo deste trabalho, destacam-se a revalidação de Wlademir Dias-Pino e Silva Freire como vanguardas poéticas em permanência.

This thesis presents a compared study of Brazilian poets of Vanguard who worked at some point, with Visuality in the second half of the 20th century. Are focused Intensivismo Poets held in Mato Grosso; Concretism, from key works of Wlademir Dias Pino, Augusto de Campos, Décio Pignatari, Silva Freire and Haroldo de Campos; Poem-process until you reach the Visual poems. It is in this study, that the literary historiography and literary criticism have not given focus due to all these authors, also questioned the centralized Canon. The study of these poetic Vanguards is usually presented in fragmentary form within the Academy. Therefore, combining the diachronic poetics with synchronic perspectives, tried to discuss the critical positioning from his works and do an analytical approach to expressive periods of these authors. Poetic dialogues are inserted with the critics, the latter often originate from own poets who perform the exercise of metacrítica. It is a study, which compares, for the first time, the Group's core Noigandres translated with poets who produced in Mato Grosso. In the midst of this study include the revalidation of Wlademir Dias Pino and Silva Freire as poetic Vanguards in permanence.
