Abstract in English
The purpose of this dissertation is to do a study about the physical and psychological times which compose the temporality in the work Nítido nulo by Vergílio Ferreira and to verify how it is possible to reproduce in the character the experience of the human being with the time. The time is approached under two aspects, the physical time, marked by the clocks and cycles of the nature and the psychological time, measured for each person's individual experience. Such choice is due to the alive and concrete perception of the simultaneous existence of the two times and their effects and reflexes inside the individual. According to the presupposition that in the present moments there is the concomitant presence of a recent past and a close future that appear simultaneously to the present perceptions, we analyze moments in which there is the simultaneity of the temporary plans in question. Those moments of intersection of different temporary plans are analyzed mainly based in José Luiz Fiorin's, Henri Bergson's and A.A. Mendilow's theories and interpreted by Martin Heidegger's and Jean-Paul Sartre's existentialist conceptions contained in the reflections done by the character along the work. Through the intersectional moments of the text and the character's reflections that, sentenced to death, waits the moment of his execution, it is possible to verify the conflict of the being that is known unjustifiable finite in the time.
