São analisados os espetáculos precursores do gênero como: Ladies na Madrugada e Quem Tem Medo de Itália Fausta? até se estabelecer um estudo da obra dramatúrgica de Vicente Pereira, especialmente do seu texto Solidão, a Comédia. São vistos os procedimentos cômicos utilizados pelo escritor nesse texto, bem como a recepção de sua encenação junto à crítica.

This study concerns the Teatro Besteirol, remarkable drama genre of contemporary brazilian theatrical scene. It is presented an analysis of the plays Ladies na Madrugada and Quem Tem Medo de Itália Fausta, Teatro Besteirol's forerunners, followed by the study of the theatrical works of Vicente Pereira, particularly the play intitled Solidão, a Comédia. It is considered the theatrical (comic) procedures used by the playwright in its composition as well as the reception by the critics.
