In this dissertation I analysed two colonial brazilian epic poems, "De Gestis Mendi de Saa", by José de Anchieta, and "Caramuru", by Santa Rita Durão, searching to verify their similitudes and differences concerning their religious discurse and their ways of representing brazilian indians.
