Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar formas linguísticas potencialmente estereotipizadoras relacionadas a temas sobre o Brasil em guias de viagem em língua alemã e apontar as mais recorrentes, como aquelas que podem contribuir mais fortemente para a construção de estereótipos sobre o Brasil e os brasileiros no contexto dos países de língua alemã. Para a identificação das formas linguísticas estereotipizadoras em um corpus composto por quatro os guias de viagem em língua alemã, partimos da observação de Fandrych(2011), de que nesses gêneros textuais existe a possibilidade de se condensar estereótipos através de atributos linguísticos. Nossa proposta foi a expansão dessa ideia para outras formas linguísticas, através da associação entre elas e duas características do estereótipo psicossocial (Simões, 1985), que denominamos exacerbação e generalização. Os resultados mostraram que as características do estereótipo têm ligações estreitas com os subtipos de textos dos guias de viagens analisados e suas funções pragmáticas. Foi possível constatar as formas mais recorrentes nos textos do corpus e os temas a elas associados, a saber: Geografia, Natureza e Mentalidade. Enquanto encaradas como estratégias textuais, tais associações nos permitiram delinear os principais interesses dos alemães em viajar para o Brasil. Também foi constatada a presença de alguns temas negativos que, em contrapartida, estão em menor quantidade e abordados de uma forma mais neutra.

The aim of this study was to identify potentially stereotyping linguistic forms related to topics in German-­written travel guides to Brazil and point out not only the most recurrent , but also those that can more strongly contribute to the construction of stereotypes about Brazil and Brazilians in the context of German speaking countries. For the identification of potentially stereotyping linguistic forms in the corpus -­ four travel guides in German language we based our research on Fandrychs (2011) comment about a characteristic in this text genre: the possibility to condense stereotypes through linguistic attributes. Our proposal was the expansion of this idea to other linguistic forms through the association between them and two psychosocial characteristics of the stereotype (Simões, 1985) we named Exacerbation and Generalization. The study showed that the characteristics of the stereotype proved to have close links with the subtypes of texts of the analyzed travel guides and their pragmatic functions. Furthermore , we delimited the most recurrent forms in the texts of the corpus as well as the themes they are most related to: Geography , Nature and Mentality. Such associations, faced as strategies in the texts, allowed us to trace the significant interests of Germans in travelling to Brazil . The study also showed the presence of some negative topics which, in turn , are fewer and addressed in a more "neutral " approach.
