Abstract in English
This dissertation examines Roberto Campos' role in the Brazilian economic history, studying his decisions as public administrator and his publications. The greatest motivator of his actions is to make Brazil an attractive country to the foreign multinationals. He defended two kinds of national projects: the first was the non-nationalist developmental state, between the fifties and the seventies, trying to conciliate the interests of foreign capital with a developmental state. The second was the intransigent defense of neoliberalism in the eighties and nineties.
