Este trabalho procura entender a relação entre o corpo e a mobilidade urbana a partir de uma experiência pedestre na cidade de São Paulo. Para tanto, a pesquisa parte da discussão sobre como o pedestre vem sendo interpretado na Geografia e em outras áreas do conhecimento, trazendo o debate sobre a rua inserida no contexto da produção do espaço, afinal, é nela que se dão as contradições entre os corpos e as máquinas de transportar.

Therefore, the research of the discussion about the pedestrian has been interpreted in geography and other areas of knowledge, bringing the debate about the street into the context of production of space, after all, it is here that give the contradictions between pedestrians the machines to transport and the city.
