O presente trabalho procura mostrar como se dá a espacialização dos eventos culturais na cidade de São Paulo. Como evento cultural ficou entendido ser qualquer atividade com o intuito de aprimorar os conhecimentos ou entreter as pessoas através de recursos audiovisuais e que a procura por estes deve ser espontânea. Neste aspecto, entende-se como eventos culturais os shows musicais, mostras de cinema, exposições e peças teatrais. Em princípio, relacionou-se estes eventos a opções de lazer da população munícipe e aonde se concentravam espacialmente na cidade de São Paulo. Para a catalogação destes eventos, foram utilizados os Guias do Estadão publicados semanalmente nos anos de 2007 e 2008. Dada a excepcionalidade de alguns eventos, procurou-se averiguar o quanto eles são também atrativos turísticos para a capital paulista. O levantamento dos eventos resultou em uma sistematização cartográfica, em que por um conjunto de seis mapas temáticos é possível identificar: os bairros com maiores concentrações de determinados eventos; a possível criação de uma territorialidade; a ocorrência destes eventos por bairros na cidade. Após a conclusão desta pesquisa, foi possível criar a sistematização cartográfica acima citada, que poderá ser atualizada constantemente, além de verificar que os eventos culturais são também uma das identidades de São Paulo, dada a sua característica cosmopolita.

The current work aims to show how is the spatial distribution of cultural events in the city of São Paulo. As a cultural event it is understood any activity that has the goal of refining the knowledge or entertaining people through audiovisual resources and the demand for these must be spontaneous. In this respect, it is understood as cultural events like music concerts, film festivals, art exhibitions and theater plays. In principle, these events were related to the entertainment options the citizen population has and where it spatially concentrates in São Paulo. For the cataloging of these events were used Guides from the "Estado de São Paulo" journal published weekly in the years 2007 and 2008. Given the exceptionality of some events, we sought to determine how much they are also tourist attractions for the major city of the state. The survey of the events resulted in a cartographic systematization, in which a set of six thematic maps can be identified: the neighborhoods with higher concentrations of certain events; the possible creation of a territoriality, the occurrence of these events by districts in the city. Upon completion of this research, it was possible to create the systematic mapping mentioned above, which can be updated constantly, and found that cultural events are also one of the identities of São Paulo, due to its cosmopolitan character.
