A proposta deste trabalho é aprofundar os estudos sobre as diferentes modalidades dos usos turísticos do Pantanal, especificamente no que se refere aos municípios de Aquidauana e Corumbá, localizados no Pantanal do Mato Grosso do Sul. Pretende-se entender a especialização regional que os dois municípios desenvolveram e mostrar as especificidades turísticas praticadas nestes dois municípios, pois, cada uma das cidades estudadas tem uma especialização dentro do contexto turístico da região, que não parece ser homogêneo. Como a região tem um papel dentro de um conjunto e no intuito de entender algo maior, também serão efetuadas algumas considerações referentes ao município de Bonito, igualmente localizado na região do Pantanal Sul e Cáceres, no Pantanal do Mato Grosso (MT). O trabalho será apresentado em três capítulos. O primeiro trata do processo histórico e ocupação do Mato Grosso do Sul, das etnias indígenas, da estrutura pecuária do Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, além de características gerais dos municípios e Aquidauana e Corumbá. No segundo capítulo são apresentados temas como os costumes aprendidos com a tradicional criação extensiva de gado os saberes e fazeres , a relação do pantaneiro com o Pantanal, o fortalecimento do ecoturismo na região, as comitivas no Pantanal de Aquidauana. O terceiro capítulo, traz a pesca em Corumbá e o surgimento dos Barcos Hotéis; o Turismo em Corumbá. Folclore; perspectivas e estrangulamentos de desenvolvimento; diagnóstico participativo no segmento do turismo deste município.

The purpose of this work is to go deeper in Pantanals different types of tourism, specifically when it comes to the cities of Aquidauana and Corumbá, both located in Pantanal of Mato Grosso do Sul. This work seeks to understand and show the regional specialization, which both cities developed, in terms of tourism, since each one of the cities has an specialization within the touristic context of the region and it seems not to be homogeneous. As the region has a role in the main scenario and in order to understand the whole picture, it is also going to be studied some considerations in reference of the city Bonito, equally located in the area of Southern Pantanal and Cáceres, inside Pantanal of Mato Grosso (MT). This work will be presented in three chapters. The first one is about Mato Grosso do Suls historical process and occupation, indigenous ethnic groups, cattle raising structure of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, besides general characteristics of the cities Aquidauana and Corumbá. In the second chapter, it will be presented themes such as the learned mores with the traditional extensive cattle raising the flavors and dos the relationship between the pantaneiro with Pantanal, the strengthening of ecotourism in the region, the comitivas in Pantanal of Aquidauana. The third chapter brings out the fishing in Corumbá and the Hotel Boats appearance; the tourism in Corumbá. Folklore: perspectives and struggling of development; participatory diagnostic in the tourism segment of this city.
