Abstract in English
This thesis presents an ethnography on the ways of inhabiting the urban space by indigenous collectives of relatives Sateré-Mawé. In order to do so, this thesis has as descriptive and analytical focus the dynamics of conformation and maintenance of the dwelling places of the Sateré-Mawé in the cities of Manaus-AM, Maués-AM and Parintins-AM. Through the description of the displacements of collective groups of relatives, in the past and the present, it demonstrates the multiple dimensions of sateré-mawé mobility practices in their relation with the conformation of their dwelling places and their processes of construction and deconstruction of kinship. Therefore, this thesis has as its object the dynamics of conformation of the Sateré-Mawé circuits between cities and villages in the Amazon, seeking in their practices of mobility - between, in and beyond their dwelling spaces - access to native conceptions about territoriality, personhood, temporality and knowledge.
