Esta pesquisa identificou como as relações de gênero modulam a sexualidade dos (as) adolescentes atualmente, e o que eles (as) contam sobre suas vivências no contexto social no qual estão inseridos. São adolescentes de 18 e 19 anos, que freqüentam o ensino médio noturno de uma escola pública localizada no centro da cidade de Santo André (SP Brasil). Busquei articular as questões de gênero e sexualidade para obter uma melhor compreensão do contexto a partir dos quais os (as) adolescentes elaboram sua visão de mundo. Compreender melhor em que circunstâncias tomaram certas atitudes e, longe de verificar sob um ponto de vista especulativo, a idéia foi observar na interação entre fatos e explicações, os valores e as formas de se relacionarem sexualmente. Como estratégia desenvolvi a escuta a partir da narrativa sobre minha experiência no processo de iniciação sexual na fase adolescente, em meados da década de 1980, o que serviu como ponto de partida para a mediação do diálogo nos grupos focais. Portanto, a fala dos (as) adolescentes nessa pesquisa qualitativa, constituiu o objeto central de interesse. Foi possível verificar que falar de sexualidade está se tornando menos constrangedor, mas faltam diálogos mais abertos, sem hipocrisia, e que questionem as imposições das igrejas. A sociedade de modo geral, não reconhece que a sexualidade é parte do desenvolvimento e das relações entre os (as) adolescentes. Os conceitos de amor, sentimentos, emoções, intimidade e desejo não se incluem nas intervenções dos serviços de saúde e educação. A realidade se revelou e nela verificam-se novos desafios, bem como velhos padrões sócio-culturais. Adolescentes não são reconhecidos socialmente como pessoas sexuadas, livres e autônomas, o que os submetem às situações de constrangimento e vulnerabilidade. É preciso superar a moralidade que impede toda a rede social de adotar uma ampla e aberta discussão sobre assuntos que envolvem a sexualidade. Só assim é possível garantir os direitos sexuais e reprodutivos na adolescência, que implica a decisão livre e com responsabilidade, sobre a reprodução, o acesso à informação adequada e o direito de exercer sem discriminação ou coerção a sexualidade.

This research identified the way gender relations set the adolescents sexuality nowadays and what they (male or female) tell about their lifetime in the social context they are. They are adolescents between 18 and 19 years old who attend high school at a public school placed in Santo André downtown (Brazil). I tried to articulate gender subjects and sexuality to obtain a better comprehension of the context from where the adolescents established their world vision. To comprehend better in which circumstances certain attitudes were taken and far from verifying under a speculative point of view, the idea was to observe the interaction between facts and explanations, the values and the ways of their sexual relationship. As a strategy I developed a hearing from a narrative under my experience in the sexual initiation process in the youth, in the middle 1980 decade, which was useful as a beginning to mediation of the dialog in the focus groups. Therefore, the speech of the adolescents (males and females) in this qualitative research, constituted the central object of interest. It was possible to verify that speaking of sexuality is becoming less embarrassing, but there is a lack of dialogs more opened, without hypocrisy, and which question churches impositions. The society in general, does not recognize that the sexuality is part of the development of the relations between the adolescents (males and females). The conceits of love, feelings, emotions, intimacy and desire do not include themselves in the interventions of health service and education. The reality shows itself and in it are verified new challenges, as well as old social and cultural standards. Adolescents are not socially recognized as sexual people, free and autonomous, which submit them to constraint and vulnerability. It is need to overtake the morality that prevents all social net to adopt a broad and opened speech about subjects related to sexuality. Only this way is possible to assure sexual and reproductive rights in youth that leads to free decision with responsibility, about reproduction, the access to adequate information and the right to carry out without discrimination or constraint the sexuality
