The increasing visibility of women in relationships with other women has set a new line of questions regarding the health of such social group. Literature points out that gender stereotypes and values concerning masculinity and femininity are present in speech and often interfere in health-oriented actions. The lack of orientation in gynecological treatment directed to their sexual practice is claimed as an obstacle for women in homosexual relationships. Sexual healthcare, as an individual right, must be thought within social aspects as standards to determine the quality of the attention offered. This report aims to understand how the constructions of gender interact with homosexual relationships between women and with the focus given to their sexual health. Based on qualitative side, it was made use of a collection of pre-established scripted interviews, alongside with notes from the field journal to elaborate the data. The interviewees are made up of nine women, either lesbian or bisexual, aging from 19 to 46, all residing in the city of São Paulo. The interviews were recorded, transcripted and analyzed taking in account the categories of "gender", "preventive practices" and "healthcare measures". According to results, it is possible to draw a relationship between different forms of the construction of what it is being a woman, and the kind of healthcare measures subsequently assimilated. Greater difficulty in perceiving need to care and to seek health services has been present among lesbians who recognized masculinized. Standards of hegemonic femininity, which bind sex to affection, may work in making women in homosexual relationships vulnerable to the exposure to sexual transmitted disease (STDs), to the extent that the insertion of any methods may be received as questioning by partner of feeling or insinuate distrust about the origin sexual. The difficulties about safe sex lesbian were scored by ignorance and lack of information on the subject. The way to prevent the STDs is summed up in doing evaluations hygienists on the partner and avoid relationships with bisexuals. To inform the doctor about their sexual preferences/orientation and being sufficiently supported to expose their doubts about STDs/AIDS as a homosexual partner, constitute the biggest obstacles indicated by interviewees when it comes to the appointment with a gynecologist. Even when they choose to reveal the preference asserted that homoerotic orientation goes, that does not result in the receipt of information relevant to their sexual practice. The idea that all women maintain heterosexual relationships is still very present in medical practice, posing a barrier in the way of a humanized care in tune with the human rights and the sexual diversity. The results in this research draw a picture in which the vulnerability to sexual diseases for women in relationships with women, beyond the individual and social aspects, goes back to the programmatic voids, expressed in the absence of speeches on safe sex partner lesbian
