Abstract in English
In order to identify priority areas for Public Health Core improvements, an adaptation of the urban quality analysis model (Project URBS) developed at INPE was performed. Eighteen parameters were studied, and grouped in two categories - Urban Quality and Enviromental Sanitation - permiting a spatial visualization of urban zones where sanitary medical measures are most needed. The comparative analysis with the traditional health metodology - health indicators for mortality has demonstrated the viability of the proposed model. São José dos Campos was chosen as a test area, and the results are shown trough maps and graphs.
