Um importante aspecto sociocultural que exerce influência sobre a formação esportiva de jovens é a participação feminina no campo do esporte. Mediante os processos históricos que evidenciam o papel social atribuído historicamente no Brasil ao gênero feminino e à simbologia ligada ao futsal como uma prática de reserva masculina, tem-se a participação feminina nesta modalidade como um evento que ainda desperta estranheza em algumas esferas da sociedade. Considerando que o esporte na escola é um espaço de reforço de estereótipos e preconceitos, o objetivo do presente trabalho é investigar e descrever a percepção de jogadoras de futsal escolar de Ribeirão Preto sobre as questões de gênero envolvidas em sua prática esportiva. A expectativa é oferecer subsídios teóricos para reflexões sobre ensino do esporte e as questões de gênero na escola. Para tal, foi realizada uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando-se a Teoria Fundamentada, com a realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com jogadoras de uma equipe de futsal feminino do ensino médio de uma escola particular de Ribeirão Preto. A pesquisa permitiu concluir que apesar de ainda haver preconceito com mulheres que praticam futsal, este cenário está mudando, uma vez que novas formas de manifestar questões de gênero estão se configurando e se estabelecendo na sociedade atualmente. Foi possível perceber a escola como um ambiente de papel fundamental, sendo o espaço para que as mulheres que são transgressoras e brigam para que essas práticas se tornem legítimas e se fortaleçam na sociedade, embora em alguns momentos essa instituição ainda comporte-se como espaço de reprodução.

An important sociocultural aspect that influences the sports training of young people is the female participation in sports field. Through historical processes which show the social role historically attributed in Brazil to females and the symbolism linked to futsal as a practice of male reserve, has the participation of women in this mode as an event that still arouses strange in some spheres of society. Considering that sports in school is a space that reinforce stereotypes and prejudices, the aim of this study is to investigate and describe the perception of school futsal female players from Ribeirão Preto on gender issues involved in their sport. The expectation is to provide theoretical basis for reflection on sport teaching and gender issues in school. For such, a qualitative approach was carried out, using the Grounded Theory, with the completion of semi-structured interviews with female futsal teams of players from a private high school in Ribeirão Preto. This research concluded that although there is still prejudice against women who practice futsal, this is changing, as long as new ways to express gender issues are setting up and settling in society today. It was possible to realize the school as key role environment for women who are transgressive and fight for these practices to become legitimate and strengthen in society, although in a few moments this institution still a reproduction place.
