Considerando que as características pessoais e profissionais do professor real e do professor considerado "bom" (professor ideal) têm relevância para a relação interpessoal no ambiente da sala de aula, da escola, no sucesso do rendimento acadêmico, na vida escolar e intelectual do aluno culminando posteriormente em sua vida profissional e social, decidiu-se fazer um estudo, cujo objetivo foi investigar as percepções dos alunos do Ensino Médio sobre os seus professores. A coleta de dados foi realizada em uma escola pública estadual de Ensino Médio de uma cidade do interior do Estado de São Paulo. A população alvo deste estudo refere-se a 473 alunos que totalizam 10 salas de aulas de Ensino Médio e Supletivo do período noturno da Escola Pública que foi estudada. A amostra foi selecionada por um critério de voluntariado numa proporção de um a cada cinco elementos da população, sendo 10 alunos de 8 salas e 9 alunos de 2 salas. O procedimento de coleta de dados foi composto de três etapas: (1) aplicação de um Questionário, ao final do qual foi feito um convite para participarem da segunda etapa, com isso a amostra definida acima foi afunilada para 12 alunos; (2) Entrevista Individual de Profundidade com Cartões Temáticos, em que foi feito um novo convite para participarem da terceira etapa; (3) Entrevista em Grupo Focal, constituindo a amostra de 9 alunos. No tratamento dos dados da primeira etapa, por se tratar de dados quantitativos, foi usado o pacote estatístico SPSS; na segunda e terceira etapa tomou-se como referência a Análise de Conteúdo. Resultados apontaram que em relação aos três aspectos investigados sobre o professor real e ideal, várias características dos professores foram consideradas, e algumas delas foram recorrentes em todo estudo, em relação às características pessoais e de personalidade, a de que seus professores são cansados, sobre os aspectos profissionais, a característica de que o professor seja atualizado e sobre a interação com os alunos a de que seus professores são "amigos", porém essa característica foi considerada para que um professor possa ser ideal, além de perceberem que seus professores são injustos. Os dados levantados evidenciam que na percepção dos alunos participantes do estudo, estes aspectos estão ligados o tempo todo, não sendo possível concebê-los de uma forma separada. Com base nisso, na percepção dos alunos, o professor ideal teria que saber equilibrar o seu aspecto profissional com o pessoal, para ter um bom relacionamento com o aluno, em alguns momentos poder até sair do papel de professor, deixando agir suas características pessoais e seus sentimentos e também não tratar o aluno no seu papel social de aluno, e sim como uma pessoa.

Considering that the personal and professional characteristics of the real teacher and of the teacher considered "good" (ideal teacher) are relevant to the interpersonal relationship in the classroom, at school, in the success of the academic performance, in the student's school and intelectual life heading later to his/her professional and social life, it was decided to make a study, which objective was to investigate the High School students' perception about their teachers. The data collection took part at a state public High School in a city in the state of São Paulo. The population target of this study is 473 students that totalize 10 High Scholl and Adult Education classrooms during the night from the Public School that was studied. The sample was selected by a volunteer criterion in a proportion of one in each five population elements, in which 10 students of 8 classrooms and 9 students of 2 classrooms. The data collection procedure was composed by three steps: (1) application of a Quis, in the end of it an invitation was made for the to take part of the second step, so the defined sample above was narrowed to 12 students; (2) Individual Interview of Depth with Thematic Cards, where a new invitation was made for them to take part of the third step; (3) Interview in Focal Group, consisting in 9 students. In the data treatment of the first step, as they were quantitative data, the statistical package was used; in the second and in the third steps the Content Analysis was used. The results showed that in respect to the three investigated aspects about the real and ideal teacher, several teachers' characteristics were considered, and some of them were deriving in all the study, in respect to the personal characteristics and personality, the one in which their teachers are tired , about the professional aspects, the characteristic that their teacher is up-to-date and about the interaction with the students in which their teachers are "friends", but this characteristic was considered for a teacher to be ideal, besides realizing that their teachers are unfair. The raised data show that in the students that took part in the study perception, these three aspects are linked all the time, and it's not able to study them separately. Based on it, in the students perception, the ideal teacher should know how to balance his/her professional aspect to the personal one, to have a good relationship with the student, and in some moments he/she can even leave the teacher role, letting his/her personal characteristcs and feelings appear and also don't treat the student in his/her student social role, but as a person.
