ARQTEMA: UM MODELO GENÉRICO PARA SISTEMAS TUTORES INTELIGENTES EM MATEMÁTICA

Abstract in English
In this work we propose a network-based architecture for a tutoring system to help students learning mathematical theories. The model is based on Michener's network model, which intends to organize ali mathematical theory in a network which contains a knowledge base partitioned into three categories: concepts, examples and results. We extend this model by introducing the bases of exercises and frequent student's bugs in the domain. In addition, our model has a meta-levei which links the concepts of each curricular item to be proposed to the student. Tutorial strategies are then defmed as paths through the network. The system knowledge is divided into four modules: the Domam Module, the Student Model, the Tutorial Module and the Interface Module.
