SUPORTE A ACESSO MULTI-USUÁRIO EM BASES DE DADOS ORIENTADOS A OBJETOS ATRAVÉS DE ESQUEMAS SUPLEMENTARES

Abstract in English
This work proposes a new concept in the Database area which consists in the partitioning of a Database Schema, represented as an Intentional Database. Following this concept, it is permited that each partition could be grouped in the users active Schema as needed , establishing many differents configurations for the applications Schema. Each partition is called a Supplementary Schema and can be individually controlled as far as dinamically combined wich or removed from active Schema, and thus giving flexibility and a powerfull resource for data hidding for DBMS. This concept is described in this work using Object Representation Model (MRO*) as a basis for the conceptualization. This work defines the operations for querying, manipulation and validation of Schemas constructed upon the Supplementary Schemas, and extends the query language of MRO (LAMRO) to support the creation and maniulation of Schemas based in the new concept. It is also described the implementation of a module that adds to the MRO-based Object Manager the proposed functionality.
