INTRODUÇÃO: O número de idosos com mais de 60 anos está aumentando no Brasil e no mundo, o que resulta no alargamento do topo da pirâmide etária populacional. Dentre as principais doenças que acometem os idosos está a doença de Parkinson (DP), que atinge aproximadamente 0,1% da população mundial. Entre os principais sinais e sintomas estão os tremores, a bradicinesia, a rigidez articular, as alterações posturais e da marcha. Mais de 50% dos pacientes com DP tem alguma forma de alteração cognitiva e os domínios habitualmente afetados são a função executiva, a percepção visuoespacial e a memória. OBJETIVOS: Essa dissertação teve como objetivos (1) descrever e comparar a aprendizagem de idosos saudáveis com a de pacientes com DP em uma tarefa cognitivo-motora e em escalas de avaliação funcional, (2) investigar se há retenção dessa aprendizagem após uma semana e após um mês. MÉTODOS: O presente estudo propõe uma nova forma de resposta (deambulação) ao Trail Making Test (TMT), para investigar novas interações da idade e da escolaridade. Ampliamos a superfície do teste (17 vezes maior que o original) e criamos um tapete antiderrapante com o trajeto, que foi denominado Tarefa de Deambulação Funcional (TDF). RESULTADOS: Houve ganhos na função executiva, no equilíbrio e na marcha para ambos os grupos. Os pacientes com DP mostraram aprendizagem da tarefa cognitivo-motora com o protocolo de 24 repetições, divididas em três sessões. O aprendizado se manteve após uma semana e após um mês. CONCLUSÃO: O treino de deambulação que envolve função executiva é benéfico para melhora da velocidade, mudança de direção na marcha e da atenção para ambos os grupos

INTRODUCTION: The number of elderly people over 60 years old is increasing in Brazil and in the world, resulting in the enlargement of the top of the population pyramid. Among the major diseases that affect the elderly is Parkinson's disease (PD), which affects approximately 0.1% of the world population. Signs and symptoms include tremor, bradykinesia, joint stiffness, postural changes, and gait. More than 50% of patients with PD have some form of cognitive alteration, such as executive dysfunction, visuospatial perception deficits and memory loss. OBJECTIVES: This dissertation had as objectives (1) to describe and compare the learning of healthy elderly individuals with PD patients in a cognitive-motor task and in functional evaluation scales, (2) to investigate whether there is retention of this Learning after one week and after one month. METHOD: The present study proposes a new form of response (ambulation) to the Trail Making Test (TMT) to investigate new interactions of age and number of years of formal education. TMT was 17 times larger and printed a non-slippery mat. This new test was called Walking Executive Function Task (WEFT). RESULTS: Had gains in executive function, balance and gait were reported after interventions for both groups. Patients with PD were able to learn the cognitive-motor task during the protocol of 24 repetitions, divided into three sessions. The performance was kept for one week and for one month after training. CONCLUSION: The ambulatory training that involves executive function is beneficial to improve the speed and change of direction in the gait and attention for both groups
