Abstract in English
In the last years, there has been an increasing reflection on evaluation in the Brazilian educational system, either to criticize the current and well-established processes of evaluation, which is causing an increase of failure and evasion, or as an attempt of improving it, since it is considered indispensable for the production of a quality school. The attempt of improving it comes together with public policies and politics interests, which are not always clear, otherwise, how one can justify the numbers of children excluded inside of a school known as inclusive? In the Physical Education realm, in order to consider the demands of different curriculums, the evaluation has assumed different faces. It was of our interest to know its semblance in the Cultural Curriculum. The object of analysis of this work is restricted to the evaluative practices of Physical Education teachers who work in schools whose proposals are aligned with the Physical Education cultural curriculum. For this, the evaluation process was characterized in agreement with the Physical Education cultural perspective, to investigate the evaluative practices developed inside of the cultural curriculum, to describe its mainly procedures, and yet to unveil to the teaching staff the conceptions about their functions. We have made a literature survey with the purpose to map our object out in the education field in general and more specifically in the Physical Education area. We have carried out interviews with four teachers whose performance area include the Basic Education, this is, the elementary and high school; we have taken their experience statements and pedagogic documents for analysis. The interpretation were checked through the Cultural Studies theoretical referential in order to identify their principal presuppositions, and thus, to construct an evaluative action epistemology. The data obtained showed us that these teachers understand the evaluation as a text in construction, as a writing production based on information on the educative action: pupils production, searches made both by the teachers and by the pupils, as well as corporal experiences, keeping themselves away from the classificatory and exclusive direction. This writing is similar to a provisory structure that although shows different sketches, to order it, the teachers have used similar pedagogic resources; we refer to the actions of mapping, registering, searching, and deciding for the continuity or for the retaken of the study, all of them interwoven through dialog. These actions have placed as many teachers as pupils as subjects that auto organize and auto produce themselves through the interaction with different speeches and texts, writing their own stories aware of their incompleteness. Hence we have permitted us to associate it to the concept of autopoiesis (MATURANA and VARELA, 2003). The teachers materialize the apprenticeships of the pupils in this production/creation that being partial and provisory, each class sketches it in their own way; because of its own provisionalness, it opens the possibility for new knowledge and other inquiries, so that new subjects can be discussed.
