Por meio da análise de dez relatos, este trabalho procura entender os motivos pelos quais pequenos proprietários de terras e moradores de zonas rurais, no interior ou no entorno de Unidades de Conservação (UCs), apresentam dificuldade em conviver com a legislação ambiental. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada na cidade de Aiuruoca (MG), onde existem duas UCs: a APA (Área de Proteção Ambiental) Serra da Mantiqueira e o Parque Estadual Serra do Papagaio. A realização da pesquisa justifica-se por motivos que vão além de oferecer às populações rurais condições de permanência em seus locais de origem, levantando questões a respeito do tema preservação ambiental, que interessa a toda a sociedade. As opções teóricas e metodológicas utilizadas para captação e análise dos relatos centram-se na história oral e em conceitos como memória, identidade, experiência e estereótipos. O entendimento da problemática analisada pretende ser uma contribuição para a elaboração de linguagens alternativas em educação ambiental de adultos residentes em zonas rurais brasileiras. As conclusões apontam para a utilização de formas narrativas na elaboração dessas possíveis alternativas como uma maneira de amenizar a resistência dessas populações ao que não faz parte das formas tradicionais de produção agropecuária e manejo de suas propriedades.

Through the analysis of 10 stories, this work looks for to understand why small land proprietors located in agricultural zones, countryside regions or around of UCs (Units of Conservation), present difficulty in coexisting the environment legislation. The field research was in the city of Aiuruoca, Minas Gerais, where there are two UCs: the APA (Area of Ambient Protection) Serra da Mantiqueira and the Parque Estadual Serra do Papagaio. The accomplishment of the research was for reasons that go beyond offering to the agricultural populations conditions of permanence in its places of origin, raising questions regarding the subject environment preservation, that it interests all society. The theoretical and methodology options used for captation and analysis of the stories are centered in verbal history and concepts as memory, identity, experience and stereotypes. The analyzed agreement of the problematic intends to be a contribution for the elaboration of alternative languages in environment education of resident adults in Brazilian agricultural zones. The conclusions point with respect to the use of forms narratives in the elaboration of these possible alternatives, as a way to minimize the resistance of these populations what it is not part of the traditional forms of farming production and handling of its properties.
