Este trabalho propõe-se a compreender a concepção de linguagem em livros didáticos de Língua Portuguesa para o ensino infantil na escola angolana. O estudo insere-se no campo da pesquisa em Educação e no campo da pesquisa em Linguística Aplicada nas áreas de ensino e aprendizagem de língua e nos estudos sobre letramento escolar, especialmente naqueles que tratam do livro didático. O corpus do estudo compreende um conjunto de seis volumes de livros didáticos de Língua Portuguesa, publicados entre 2007 e 2013, destinados ao Ensino Infantil, correspondente aos seis anos da escolaridade inicial do sistema de ensino de Angola (África). Do ponto de vista metodológico, a abordagem desse corpus consiste em uma pesquisa documental comportando, em primeiro lugar, a caracterização da estrutura global dos livros; em segundo lugar, a descrição geral dos componentes curriculares neles presentes (conteúdos selecionados e atividades propostas) e, finalmente, a análise das concepções de linguagem que embasam os conteúdos selecionados e as tarefas propostas nos livros.

This study aims to comprehend the concept of language/language in the textbook of Portuguese Language for Angolan Kindergarten School. This study is part of the research field of Education and the Research field in Applied Linguistic in the area of teaching and learning language and in school literacy studies, especially in those dealing with the textbook. The corpus of the study comprises a set of six volumes of textbooks intended for Portuguese Childhood Education, which corresponds to the initial six years of schooling in the Angola Educational System. From a methodological point of view, the approach of this corpus consists of a documents research comprising, in first place, the characterization of an overall structure of the book; secondly a general description of the curriculum components present therein (content and proposed activities selected), and finally the analysis of the conception of language/supposed language in Books. The study points to a conception of language as a representation of thoughts restricted to morphological and syntactic level of language (Formation of words and phrases construction) in the set of books.
