Abstract in English
This study aimed to verify if there would be occurrences of ineffective adaptation of first-year students of a Nursing program, and in which adaptive sections there would be inadequateness and if there would be students in adaptive crisis. The participants included all first-year students of a Nursing program in Minas Gerais. The instruments used for this research were: the Questionnaire from Escola Paulista de Medicina, as a triage tool; the preventive clinical interview; and, the Operationalized Adaptive Diagnostic Scale OADS. The study showed that for a preventive research, its essential that the research happens in the earliest phase, in this case, in the beginning of the first year. As it was taken in the end of the first year of a Nursing group, it was observed that there was a pre-selection, caused by the evasion of 18% of the students of the group started in 2013, generating, with this, the hypothesis that some of these students could have continued the course if they were identified early and, from this, been helped in their needs
