Abstract in English
The present dissertation is dedicated to the analysis of a Sigmund Freud’s clinical case, “Notes upon a Case of Obsessional Neurosis (The Rat Man)", aiming to discriminate the values conveyed by it. In order to do so, the dissertation was based on the discursive referential known as French Pragmatics, as well as on Walter Benjamin’s thoughts about the relationship between knowledge and power, created through discourse. From this point of view, the existence of three particular axes can be inferred: the conflictuous rapport between the analyst and his/her place of dwelling; the antagonistic entwining of identification and differences going on between patient and analyst; the uncanny relationship between the analyst’s knowledge and lack of knowledge on the subjects of death, superstition and religion. We were able to issue, at last, some reflexion on the importance of thinking about the very creation Psychoanalysis and the discursive genre called clinical case as being, both of them, immerse in their time and place.
