Abstract in English
The steps needed to transform the polychromatic 152Eu, t1/2 = 13,525(14) y, g-ray source into a standard for efficiency calibration of HPGe detectors have been developed. Through g-g coincidence measurements of the 152Eu decay, 4 levels were placed in the 152Sm scheme, one new, and 36 transitions, 25 in the 152Sm and 11 in 152Gd, where 23 were observed for the first time. The influence of secondary detection effects in the peak areas were evaluated and the corresponding models have been experimentaly checked. Peak-area formulas have been derived from the efficiencies and decay parameters: branching ratios, beta feeding fractions, transition multipolarities and internal conversion coefficients. The experimental data from the $gamma$-ray singles spectrum were fitted by the Least-Squares Method, providing estimates for the branching ratios and beta feeding fractions for the level schemes of 152Sm and 152Gd, allowing the calculation of the intensities and statistical correlations of the most intense gamma transitions following the 152Eu decay.
