Estudamos duas teorias nas quais o termo de Einstein, R -9 , encontra-se ausente da lagrangeana original do problema e é gerado através de mecanismo de quebra espontânea de simetria. Na primeira delas e introduzido um campo escalar, que e o responsável pelo fenômeno de quebra de simetria. Na segunda, não há campo escalares: a quebra de simetria aparece como um efeito dinâmico.

We study two theories in which the Einstein term, R -9, is not present in the original lagrangian. This term is created by a spontaneous broken symmetry mechanism. In the first theory, there is a scalar field through which the breaking of symmetry occurs. In the second one, there is no scalar field. The symmetry is dynamically broken.
