Keywords in Portuguese
Eletrônica de potência

Abstract in English
Rectifiers with capacitive commutation are line-commutated converters that have capacitances in series with the inductances in the AC branches. These capacitances improve the rectifier's voltage regulation and enable converter operation with negative firing angles. This work presents the mathematical formulation of the capacitive commutation and of the characteristic of voltage versus current on the rectifier's DC side, assuming converter symmetry, perfect smoothness of DC current, and a range of values of capacitances that make its operation feasible.
