Considerando o universo da produção artística contemporânea que explora diálogos entre artes visuais e tecnologias digitais, esta pesquisa trata de três vertentes correlatas. A primeira delas está relacionada à contextualização do cenário no qual emergem os meios de fabricação digital e o possível impacto do seu uso nos processos criativos. A segunda vertente circunscreve a linguagem tridimensional que vê a tecnologia em estudo como um instrumento artístico e trata de estudos de caso acerca de poéticas selecionadas. A terceira, de caráter prático, constitui-se em um ensaio artístico autoral a fim de produzir trabalhos experimentais com o uso dos meios digitais de fabricação. O ponto em comum presente nessas três vertentes é a ênfase da pesquisa: investigar, no campo das poéticas tridimensionais, como os processos criativos se utilizam da tecnologia de fabricação digital.

Considering the universe of contemporary artistic production that explores dialogues between visual arts and digital technologies, this research deals with three correlate strands. The first of these is related to the contextualization of the scenario from where emerge digital fabrication means and their possible impact in the creative processes. The second strand circumscribes the three-dimensional language that sees the technology under study as an artistic instrument to then deal with case studies about selected poetics. The third one, of a practical character, is an authorial artistic essay in order to produce experimental works with the use of the digital means of manufacture. The common point in these three strands is the emphasis of the research: to investigate, in the field of three-dimensional poetics, how the creative processes make use of digital fabrication technology.
