Abstract in English
The OGUATÁ PORÃ (Bautiful Walk) dissertation is a series of photographic essays, regarding the cosmology of Guarani Mbya indians. It is based on my experience of fifteen years with the indians from the village of Silveira River, at the coastal region of the state of São Paulo, on ethnographic studies about the Guarani and the experience accumulated over my professional life as a photographer. The peculiar world vision and the interaction of the Guarani with the surrounding society, raised the unfolding of my poetics. Presented as a result, are portraits of Indians, photographs documenting their rituals and landscapes. They evoke a world permeated by the uncertainty and the invisible, the cosmology of the Mbya Guarani.
