Abstract in English
The Talk Show in School project is an educomunicative experience in which, from the development of a series of activities, we guide young people in the production of a talk show. The program is made by students with the school community as a target audience. We apply an in-school TV entertainment initiative, allowing students to appropriate a television genre and broaden their view of reality and themselves. We combine our experience as a journalist in the production of the Jô Soares Show, shown on TV Globo, with the principles of Educommunication. We seek to promote a critical reading of the media. In this research we compare the development of Talk Show activities in the School in two environments. In 2015 the activity was offered to high school students of a private school, the Archdiocesan Marist College of São Paulo. In 2017, the Talk Show at the School was offered at Sapopemba's ETEC, a public school in São Paulo. This experiment aims to evaluate and encourage interpersonal relationships and educommunication practices in different contexts. Action research supported us as a research methodology. From working with a television genre, we seek to explore the culture of the media and value the culture of students.
