Esta tese analisa a temática feminina no jornalismo alternativo a partir do diálogo entre os campos da comunicação, do jornalismo e dos estudos de gênero no Brasil. Busca-se descrever um panorama histórico de publicações brasileiras, comparando as mudanças e a evolução dos meios, apresentando-se exemplos de valorização e emancipação da mulher dentro das perspectivas sociológica e histórica. Tendo ainda como base publicações de caráter jornalístico, assinala-se o impacto político-social de eventos e fatores que proporcionaram a vinculação da mulher com o jornalismo alternativo nacional. Com o objetivo de aprofundar a compreensão dos dados, o estudo entrevista colaboradoras do Instituto Patrícia Galvão - Mídia e Direitos (IPG) e do Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero - Pagu (NEG-Pagu), utilizando principalmente o arcabouço metodológico da história oral. O segmento alternativo é entendido como um primeiro rascunho histórico que possibilita compreender a trajetória do feminismo em distintas épocas, traçando as relações entre os estudos de gênero e a sociedade.

This PhD thesis analyzes the feminine theme in the area of alternative journalism based on the dialogue between the different fields of communication, journalism and gender studies in Brazil. The research seeks to describe a historical panorama of Brazilian publications, comparing the changes and the evolution of the media, presenting examples of the valorization and emancipation of women within the sociological and historical perspectives. Further, based on journalistic publications, the political-social impact of events and factors that have led to the linking of women with national alternative journalism is highlighted. In order to deepen the understanding of the data, the study interviews collaborators of Patrícia Galvão Institute - Media and Rights (IPG) and also the Nucleus of Gender Studies - Pagu (NEG-Pagu), mostly using the methodological framework of oral history. The alternative segment is understood as a first historical sketch that makes it possible to understand the trajectory of feminism at different times, drawing the relations between gender studies and society. The conclusion is that, above all, it is through the alternative channels that feminism is inserted in Brazilian journalism.
