Este trabalho parte da hipótese de que a leitura e a produção dos significados são fundamentais para se compreender os fluxos de informação. Diante disso, foi construído um referencial teórico que desse sustentação às argumentações do projeto. O referencial elegeu alguns temas considerados fundamentais para a compreensão e argumentação da hipótese e destacou alguns autores que desenvolveram estudos com esses temas. A partir da hipótese, o objetivo principal do trabalho a se alcançar foi compreender o fluxo de informação sob o ponto de vista das leituras, dos significados e das conexões da Ciência da Informação com outros domínios do conhecimento. Entre a hipótese e o objetivo, o trabalho procurou contribuir para compreender as nuances entre a assimilação da informação e a produção do conhecimento. Sendo assim, foi feita uma organização entre referencial teórico principal e referencial secundário. O referencial teórico é composto de um detalhamento das etapas da evolução do pensamento do trabalho, que se originou na criação das hipóteses e desemboca nas considerações comparativas entre as hipóteses, os objetivos, a pesquisa de campo e os resultados colhidos. O referencial teórico secundário dá apoio ao referencial principal, e os conceitos presentes neles presentes, são mencionado e permeiam todo o trabalho. Os temas principais trabalhados nos referenciais deste projeto foram os seguintes: leitura, informação, os significados e a interdisciplinaridade, o ente e o mundo dos conceitos, a apreensão fenomenológica, a representação das coisas, a interpretação, a interpretação bíblica, a semiótica, o conhecimento e a memória. Os fatores considerados principais para estruturar as hipóteses foram as vivências, as leituras e as interpretações. Assim, foram escolhidos dois objetos de estudo: A Torre de Babel (do livro do Gênesis) e o Círculo do Sentido (de Martin Heidegger), como textos submetidos para leitura, compreensão e interpretação dos informantes. Após os trabalhos dos informantes e as atividades de análise das interpretações, foi feita uma comparação entre os conceitos presentes nas respostas. A partir daí, foi feita uma demonstração das interdisciplinaridades conceituais que se originaram dos resultados da pesquisa de campo. Em seguida, o texto faz considerações comparativas entre as hipóteses, os objetivos, a pesquisa de campo, e os resultados. Essas considerações recorrem aos referenciais teóricos e traçam uma linha de confirmação entre todas essas instâncias. Os resultados colhidos apontam para interpretações dos leitores baseadas nas suas vivências, uma vez que a assimilação da informação apontou diversos caminhos conceituais para a construção do conhecimento dos leitores, dependendo das suas referências de mundo. O que entrou em jogo nesse processo foi, além da influência das vivências, os contextos da obra e do leitor. Outro resultado colhido foi que a interpretação, como apontava Heidegger, se fundamenta na compreensão. Na ausência da compreensão, um outro jogo de sentidos se instaura, criando um novo texto com seus novos significados. Esses resultados sugerem que a interpretação exige limites para si, e esses limites se amparam nos sentidos e nas intenções de autores, textos e leitores. Esses resultados podem contribuir para as representações documentárias, mostrando que os fluxos de informação são fundamentados nas leituras e nas produções de sentidos e no compartilhamento de significados.

This work is based on the hypothesis that the reading and the production of meanings are fundamental to understand the flows of information. As a result, a theoretical framework was developed in order to support the reasoning of the project. The framework elected some themes considered fundamental to the comprehension and reasoning of the hypothesis, and included some authors who developed studies about those themes. Based on the hypothesis, the main objective was to understand the flow of information from the standpoint of the readings, meanings and connections of Information Science with other domains of knowledge. In-between the hypothesis and the objective, the study tried to contribute to the comprehension of the nuances observed from the assimilation of information to the production of knowledge. Hence, the primary theoretical framework and the secondary framework were organized. The theoretical framework consists of details of the evolution of the reasoning during the work, which stemmed from the creation of hypotheses and led to comparative considerations of the hypotheses, objectives, field research, and results obtained. The secondary theoretical framework supports the primary framework, and the concepts present in both are mentioned throughout the study. The main themes developed in the frameworks of this project were the following: reading, information, meanings and interdisciplinarity, the being and the world of concepts, phenomenological apprehension, representation of things, interpretation, biblical interpretation, semiotics, knowledge, and memory. The main factors considered in order to structure the hypotheses were experiences, readings, and interpretations. Thus, the following two objects of study were chosen: The Tower of Babylon (from the Bibles Book of Genesis) and the Circle of Meaning (by Martin Heidegger), as texts submitted to informants for reading, comprehension and interpretation. After the work of the informants and the analysis of the interpretations, the concepts present in the answers were compared. Subsequently, the conceptual interdisciplinarities derived from the results of the field research were demonstrated. Then, the text makes comparative considerations of the hypotheses, the objectives, the field research, and the results. These considerations make use of the theoretical frameworks, and provide confirmation of all the instances. The results obtained point to interpretations by the readers based on their experiences, since the assimilation of information indicated several conceptual paths regarding the construction of the readers knowledge, depending on their references of the world. In addition to the influence of experiences, the contexts of the texts and the readers played an important role in the process. Another result achieved was that the interpretation, as pointed out by Heidegger, is based on the comprehension. In the absence of comprehension, another set of connotations emerges, creating a new text with new meanings. The results suggest that the interpretation requires limits, and such limits depend on the meanings and intentions of authors, texts and readers. And the results may also contribute to documental representations by showing that the flows of information are based on the readings and production of connotations, as well as on the sharing of meanings.
