linguagem do brincar.
abordagem e o efeito multiplicador em outros projetos sociais.

Abstract in English
The research subject for this thesis is the educational practices of Casa
Redonda Centro de Estudos, a child education project that began in the early
1980s, in a cottage in Carapicuíba /SP, where it remains to the present day.
The approach, created by teacher Maria Amélia Pereira, focuses on
development of the sensibility of the child and on their form of expression through the
language of play. The foundations of this work are the Culture of Childhood, as a
particular way of seeing the world, where the multiplicity and richness of the universe
of games anchor the process of development, and Brazilian Culture, through its
myths, legends, songs, music and dance, as a form of rooting the child in their place
of origin, taking into account the body, as a sensitive and integrating vehicle.
This thesis examines the experience of the Casa Redonda Centro de
Estudos, presenting the pedagogical context of the period, its theoretical references,
and the importance of the natural and physical space in the process of education. It
includes a description of the work carried out by the Casa Redonda staff, statements
by former students who went through this experience, a description of training
courses for educators in this approach, and the multiplier effect of this work on other
social projects.
